What We Do

At Contact Point our aim is to improve the quality of lives by providing easy access to information on disability, carer and health issues. We are all bombarded with so much information, such as junk mail, that we lose track of important things - the things we really need to know about.

Our free service serves individuals with a disability; partners and family; friends, carers and care workers (voluntary or professional).

We have information on many topics, local and national, including-

  • Access
  • Carers Support
  • Children & Families
  • Equipment & Aids
  • Holidays & Homecare
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Local & National Organisations
  • Sports & Leisure for special needs
  • Support & Self Help Groups
  • Transport & Mobility

Other Services

Social interaction groups are held twice a week, in The Park Centre, Kerr Street, Kirkintilloch. Everyone is welcome. Phone for details.

Our equipment service supplies items on short-term loan. These include wheelchairs, ramps and hearing loop systems. We also have projectors, screen, gazebos etc.

We are in a partnership which manages The Park Centre as an accessible community facility. Rooms are available to let for varied activities and events whether one-off or on a regular basis.

Outreach Sessions visit towns and villages in the area to bring our services to the public.
