Who We Are
Located in East Dunbartonshire we are a local independent non-profit making voluntary organisation that was established in 1983.
We provide voluntary services for all those with an interest in disability issues.

What is Disability?
In East Dunbartonshire, there are approximately 12,000 people with some form of disability, ranging from mild to severe. Only 700 of these are wheelchair users.

Disability is a very complex subject. It affects the lives of a large group of people, including their partners, families and friends.
Looking After Someone?
A Carer is someone who looks after a partner, relative or friend who cannot manage without help because of illness, frailty or disability.
They may or may not live together.
It is estimated there are 13,500 carers in East Dunbartonshire.
